I agree with the other comments; such databases are of value. I'm at an academic library, and our undergraduates use these resources a great deal. I'd also suggest discussing whether Wilson Co is asking for an exclusive contract, or whether they would accept your possible licensing with others such as EBSCO or Gale. You may want to keep such an option available,

I have a fairly basic question that I would appreciate getting the
library perspective on. I have been approached by The Wilson Company to
license our association journal for inclusion in the Education Full Text
Database. I would like to know if these types of databases are of value,
and do libraries subscribe to them? Do they still serve a purpose in
this age of large platforms like Ingenta and endless linking through
CrossRef?
