Emerald partners with Latin American Council of Management Schools CLADEA

United Kingdom, August 2009 - Emerald Group Publishing Limited is
pleased to announce a new partnership with Consejo Latinoamericano de
Escuelas de Administración (CLADEA). Both parties will be working
together on a number of initiatives to promote management research,
education and practice in the Latin America region.

CLADEA, based in Lima, Peru (at Universidad ESAN), is the Latin American
Council of Management Schools and is one of the world's biggest networks
of business schools with over 140 institutions as members. Created for
the purpose of furthering the advancement of professional management,
CLADEA has been active, for a continuous period of over 40 years

John Peters, Chief Executive of Emerald, comments: "CLADEA's mission to
encourage better teaching, research and management in Latin American
business schools and businesses is one which may prove to be significant
to the global economy, as well as being vital for managers and
researchers in Latin America. We are pleased and honoured to support
this mission. We would encourage anyone with an interest in business
education and development in Latin America to join with CLADEA in this
drive for improvement and development."

As the world's leading publisher of management research, Emerald plays
an active role in fostering an ecology of knowledge, facilitating the
production and dissemination of knowledge on a global scale.

This partnership has been created through discussion and deliberation
between Dr. Jorge Talavera, Executive Director of CLADEA and Emerald and
will present many opportunities to develop an international network of
research in Latin America. In particular, Emerald and CLADEA will
collaborate on a journal, to be published both in English and Spanish,
whose main focus will be the advancement of good management for the
benefit of education, research and practice for businesses and social
organizations throughout Latin American.
