This year's NETSL Spring Conference theme is "Working the Cataloging
Landscape." Join us for a great slate of presentations on how to make
your data work harder in these tough economic times! Karen Coyle will
talk about integrating library data into the larger information
universe. Ted Fons, Director of OCLC's WorldCat Global Metadata Network,
will tell us about current and future metadata projects at OCLC. Other
sessions include a discussion of the role of "upstream" data from
publishers in libraries, a description and demonstration of a new
approach to federated search, a look at one university's workflow
solution for integrating Web resources into its library collections, and
a panel presentation of a variety of next generation of library
catalogs. Rick Block, winner of the 2008 Library Journal Teaching Award,
will tangle with RDA and the future of MARC. It's an event you won't
want to miss!
