Re: WT Cox and Academic Libraries

Cyndi,
I am in a public library, but I thought you should know that our experience with W.T. Cox has been excellent. We have a wonderful sales rep named Mike Perrine who returns calls and e-mails very quickly and contacts his people at the home office to fix any problems we have while he is on the road. We had previously used Ebsco and Demco who were good, but Cox far outbid them on the RFP. I don't how their discounts would compare to everyone else on academic and scientific/technical journals. Their search engine on their website leaves a little top be desired, but their customer service and responsiveness are superior to Ebsco and Demco.
Good luck with your choice!

Hi,
I've recently heard of a subscription vendor called WT Cox.
Do any of you work with them, and if so, what has your experience been like? (Customer service, prices, etc.).
I'm particularly interested in hearing from academic university libraries, although I definitely appreciate input from all.
Feel free to email me off the list if you prefer to do so (adamo@hartford.edu).
Thanks so much!
