I would also be interested in responses. Has anyone managed to locally
archive and provide continued access to journals they cancelled?

Subject: hosting e-resources question
We recently had a faculty request for an online dictionary that is
offered as a searchable pdf file. The catch is we have to host it
somewhere and are exploring what the possibilities are. We have thought
about using the e-reserves module or just putting it into a networked
folder so that either way the user would need to authenticate to see the
material if off-campus. We would most likely catalog it and link to it
through the catalog in addition to that, but the hosting piece is where
we need more information. What are others out there doing when you need
to host electronic resources? Do you have a server designated for this
type of material to live? What issues have you come across if you have
done this?

I'd be interested to see what people have done with larger scale
projects as well- such as having to take on hosting content due to
cancellation or ceasing of electronic materials.=20

Thank you for your help!
