We just received a Wiley title: Drug-DNA Interactions, Stuctures and
Spectra from EBSCO. In our quest to determine why, we have learned that
is is part of the Methods of Biochemical Analysis series, and thus part
of a standing order.

However, it took the Wiley customer service person drilling down 4
screens to discover the connection as the book itself does not have the
series anywhere cover to cover.

My question is: do I trace the series even though it does not appear
anywhere (as OCLC#226974920 non-DLC does) or ignore and accept as a
regular old book without any series connection as DLC does in
OCLC#154798782.

The latter seems the obvious route for several reasons; however, I hate
that Wiley intends this to be part of an ongoing series and fails to
include it in any part of the book.
I'd appreciate advice on whether to [v.51] bracket it as assuming it is
v.51 in the series.
The other books prior to this one do have the series name near the front
(although for v.50 it was lightly imprinted verso the front hard
cover).  I think someone just forgot but I don't know if cataloging
practices allow for forgetfulness.
