Call for Reviewers Blackwell, Lisa 15 Jul 2008 17:25 UTC

Greetings library colleagues,

Apologies for cross-posting!

With volume 9, I am a co-editor for the Reviews column of the Journal of Hospital Librarianship. I am in need of book/media reviewers for future issues. If you would consider reviewing 1-4 books and/or electronic media per year (quarterly) please contact me off-list for further details. Materials reviewed may include new items added to your own collections that you think might be of interest to readers of this journal. I will also have items available periodically for review. When you choose an item from the list that I provide, I will send it to you and you get to keep it.

Please consider contributing to this publication. Materials do not have to be specifically about medicine: significant reference titles of general interest (reference delivery methods or skills, directions in the field, etc.) may also be reviewed. Reviews are to be substantive--about 500 words--and include a summary of contents and recommendation for audiences that the material might benefit.

This is a great way to stay on top of current releases and provides a valuable resource for materials acquisitions managers who make decisions about purchases for collections. The Journal of Hospital Librarianship is a Haworth Press Imprint publication, an imprint recently acquired by Taylor & Francis.
