When we have duplicate e-access in a subscribed aggregated database, we
don't keep the print as long as the publisher doesn't require it for
e-access.  Some print titles are kept because they are for library
staff, or are considered popular print reading material for patrons
within the library.  As far as licenses go, it depends upon
the publisher and the requirements set up within a consortial agreement.

We follow these parameters whenever we consider dropping a print title,
but like most
other libraries, we are moving towards having a majority of e-journal
titles and less of the print..

Hello, Karen.  We have gone online-only for several journal packages
(American Chemical Society, American Psychological Association, and
Sage) as well as several individual titles where the faculty are open to

electronic access.  Some journals just are not available in electronic
format, so I don't think we will be going entirely electronic.  I guess
one caution I have is going with a reliable vendor that has few
technical problems and is maintaining some kind of archive.
