Please excuse cross-posting.

Dear Colleagues:

The American Institute of Physics is pleased to announce 2009 institutional
subscription rates. Please visit

http://journals.aip.org/aip_09_prices.pdf

or

http://librarians.aip.org

to view 2009 prices for the following publications:

AIP Conference Proceedings
Applied Physics Letters
APL: Organic Electronics and Photonics
Applied Physics Reviews
Chaos
Computing in Science & Engineering (co-published with IEEE Computer Society)
Journal of Applied Physics
The Journal of Chemical Physics
JCP: BioChemical Physics
Journal of Physical & Chemical Reference Data (co-published with NIST)
Journal of Mathematical Physics
Low Temperature Physics
Physics of Fluids
Physics of Plasmas
Physics Today
Review of Scientific Instruments

Please note that all prices are subject to change. Our Open Access journal,
Biomicrofluidics, of course remains free to users.

There are also several important developments we’d like to alert you to.

*Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy: New title; free in 2009*

This new e-only journal will draw from researchers in a diverse range of fields
such as geothermal energy, bioenergy, solar and wind power, energy storage, and
transportation. Peer-reviewed articles will cover the science, rather than the
policy, behind these emerging energy sources. Access to JRSE will be free in
2009, and by subscription in 2010.

*Physics Today: Access Current Content and the Complete Backfile*

All subscribers will now automatically have online access to current content
along with a five-year backfile, at no additional charge. AIP has also completed
the digitization of the PT backfile, so subscribers may opt to receive access
back to 1948 -- Volume 1, Issue 1 – for an additional fee. The full 60-year
backfile is also included in AIP Select and AIP Complete. Please visit URL for
details of these new subscription options.

*AIP Conference Proceedings Add Backfile Content*

All subscribers will now have access to the complete archive, back to the first
volumes published in 1970 – more than 70,000 articles from more than 1,000
volumes. Further, the subscription prices for 2009 remain unchanged from 2008.

*APL: Organic Electronics and Photonics: A New AIP Spotlight Publication, free
in 2008*

APL: Organic Electronics and Photonics (APL: OEP) breaks out content from
Applied Physics Letters, and mirrors the newly established topical section of
the same name in the parent journal. APL: OEP will be available as a separate
online-only subscription in 2009, but articles published in 2008 are currently
freely available at http://apl-oep.aip.org. New articles will be published
simultaneously with their appearance in the online version of APL.

*AIP Maintains Tier Assignments for the 2nd Year*

In 2009, AIP journal customers will maintain their current tier assignment,
except for a few unusual cases. If you have questions regarding your
institution’s AIP tier, please contact us.

If you have a question regarding these new options, or about the prices posted,
please contact subs@aip.org or call 1-800-344-6902.

We look forward to serving you in 2009.

Best regards,

Lori S. Carlin
