Re: Architect Skwor, Jeanette 19 Jun 2008 18:58 UTC

And how, pray tell, would the target audience *not* receive the issue if they sent it out to all subscribers?

It's not as though we're asking for a handout. We're asking for a year's full contingent of issues. And it's not as though publishers haven't been known to raise their prices, whether they add or subtract issues-per-annum.

I just think they're being short-sighted. University students who read Architect are, IMO, a target audience in the making.

Finally, let's not lose track of the fact that *some* of us *got* the issues in question. I've not changed my mind re my previous diagnosis of Weasel Words.

I believe it is economics. I know that advertisers (in this case it is
the Product Guide) are assured that their target audience is receiving
the issue. Newspapers send their advertising inserts to geographical
selected areas in the city. My brother moved a half mile and could no
longer get grocery ads because census data reported it to be an area of
less income.

In the case of "architect" one begins to question the actual value of
their content, then, if it can be so easily withheld from their
readership.
