Proceedings of the Japan Academy

I have a question about the title, Proceedings of the Japan Academy.
Since 1977, this title has been published in two parts, Series A
(0386-2194) and Series B (0386-2208).
Until recently, Series B had come bound with Series A, but with a
separate cover. Then vol. 83, no. 7 (Oct. 2007) came bound together,
without any separate cover for Series B or any kind of clear separation
between the two, other than a change in the running title. The Series B
ISSN didn't appear anywhere (that I could find); however, the two
series do maintain separate page numbering and separate editorial
offices, and the online versions have separate webpages.
As far as I can tell, these are still being treated as two separate
titles, but the way they are issued does cause some confusion for
serials checkin. I was just wondering if anyone else had had a problem
with this and how you dealt with it.
