Hi, all- I'm new to putting MFHD holdings into Connexion, and I have a
question about titles for which my institution has multiple formats.
When I spoke with a SOLINET rep, he told me that if I wanted the summary
holdings to show up correctly for two formats, I'd have to make sure
that each format's MFHD record had the same summary holdings (but
different 853 and 863 fields, according to each individual format's
holdings). For example, on OCLC # 43525192, this is our summary
statement on both the print record and the online record: "Print
v.81:1(2000)-v.83:1(2000), v.84:3(2001)-v.87:6(2002), Electronic
v.75:2(1997)-"
I have two questions: does this seem like the best way to report
different formats' holdings, i.e., to create multiple MFHD records but
have the summary statements read exactly the same for each? Also, is
"Electronic" as a term preferred to "Online," or is "Online" better?
Many thanks for your consideration,
Rebecca
