Re: Principal Leadership Ian Woodward 10 Apr 2008 12:46 UTC

We have bound both. The format is too flimsy for storage of free standing issues in our automated warehouse and we had not elected to throw them away after an interim period of years, as we do with some publications. There have been delivery problems from the very beginning with these titles and it has been like pulling teeth to get the publishers to acknowledge claims, so our bound pieces are actually incomplete (with advisories to consult our inter-library loan staff tipped in).

All these years I have assumed there was variation in content because they were tagged with the 'edition' qualifier and one was the successor to 'Schools in the Middle' and the other to 'High School Magazine'. They have in recent years published one manifestly identical 'conference' issue. If, in fact, the ordinary issues of each are identical, what would be the point of printing one issue a year with "High School & Middle Level Edition" or 'Conference Issue' (I forget pricisely which) on the cover? You combed through (say) half a dozen issues of each and found them identical, no? IW

It is my understanding that /Principal Leadership/ is issued in 2
editions: High School and Middle School, yet they are identical in content and ads. Do you bind both publications if you get both because of a membership? or the larger question, why is this issued like this.
I guess I mainly would like input on the binding issue. Thanks.
