This was a very "down and dirty" search on Ulrich's:
Status = active
Features = Refereed
All other fields = empty/blank
Total Refereed = 24,217
Status = active
Features = Refereed
Search on = Media = print andnot
Search on = Media = online
All other fields = empty/blank
Total Print only = 8373

Subject: [SERIALST] peer-reviewed journals
My Interim Dean of Library Services just gave me a research assignment.
He wants to know how many peer-reviewed journals are currently being
published, and of those peer-reviewed journals, how many are still
available in print-only format (i.e., not available electronically).
I figure EBSCO or somebody must have done some kind of count or study on
this matter, but if there was something previously posted in serialst,
my initial search of the archives did not retrieve the information he is
looking for.
I tried Ulrich's online, but if I missed a trick, I will try again. (I
saw an old posting about using the CD-Rom, but we don't have the CD-Rom
version.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice that leads to a good ballpark
estimate, at least!!!
