All of these companies / publishers we rely upon, are as you know, buying each other up and are going as exclusive providers.

Ovid had an agreement with CINAHL, Cumulative Index to Nursing... which was bought by Ebsco, and now Ebsco Publishing will be the exclusive provider.

Wiley bought Blackwell and while many Blackwell titles are in the Ebsco Academic and other databases, Wiley publications were not.  Who knows what will happen when their agreements come up for renewal.

Wiley bought the start up company that created InfoPOEMS, Ebsco bought DynaMed, and on and on.

Can anyone else out there think of other recent exclusive titles to REALLY depress us???

It was my understanding that Gale tried to secure rights to load the
content of the LWW titles into some of their aggregated databases but
that Ovid did finally secure excusive distribution rights.  That would
likely mean that EBSCO lost access to those titles.

I could certainly be wrong.  Maybe someone else can chime in.

Has anyone noticed that Lippincott nursing journals, now Wolters Kluwer,
no longer has any content in CINAHL? Yikes.  Does anyone know if these
journals have been picked up by another aggregator, and if so, which
one?  Or will they be only available as individual online issues?

Any advice appreciated.
