Re: publishers with journal archives and online access after cancellation Howlett, Lee Ann 27 Mar 2008 16:29 UTC

The Nature Publishing Group charges an
annual access fee for titles that you decide
to cancel. It's reasonable and that way
you don't lose access to the archives
or the years you subscribed.

Subject: Re: [SERIALST] publishers with journal archives and online access after cancellation

Hello,
I am working on a similar question at the moment. I would be also interested in publishers who charge a one-time-fee for the archive plus an annual fee.

Has somebody compiled a list of publishers who only provide access to revolving years, e.g. current 5 years?

Has somebody compiled a list of publishers whose's online access will stay for the years the library subscribed to, even after the library cancelled the subscription? Not like Blackwell Synergy where one loses access.

Thanks,
Hella

Subject: [SERIALST] one-time-payment journal archives

Hi all,

I'm trying to quickly compile a list of journal archive products from
publishers that involve paying only a one-time-fee, and no annual fee
(unlike JSTOR, for example, which has a capital fee and an annual fee).

I know some of the publishers are now offering this.

I figure if a number of people (or publishers) can mention packages they're
familiar with or have purchased, I'll have a nice list to start with.

thanks in advance,
