Re: Survey on moving journals to electronic-- for academic libraries Patricia Thompson 31 Jan 2008 21:28 UTC

I regret that we forgot to include the caveat that this survey is for
academic libraries only. We certainly do not think that public
libraries or other non-academic libraries are unimportant, but we had
to limit our scope for this project. We intended to make this known
in the invitation. For anyone who tried to take the survey and found
that it did not apply, we're very sorry to have wasted your time!

We are conducting a survey on current practices in journal collection
development in academic libraries. The survey focuses on print
journal retention, the movement of journal subscriptions from print
to online only, and concerns surrounding these issues. The results
will be discussed as part of a presentation at the upcoming
<http://www.electroniclibrarian.org/ocs/index.php/erl/2008>Electronic
Resources & Libraries Conference in March 2008.

The link for the survey is:

The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and it will remain
open until February 15.
Thank you very much in advance for your participation. If you have
