Barbara,

Thanks for your suggestion...'twas timely...I was just able to find a
full-text article for a patron who couldn't access it through Taylor and
Francis (Informaworld). So, yes, we've had problems with the platform
switch as well. And thanks again for your suggestion.

Subject: [SERIALST] Online access to informaworld

Hello all,

Early this year, during Taylor and Francis' transition from MetaPress to
informaworld, because we were having such problems with consistent
online access using the new platform, we decided to use EBSCO's EJS as
our gateway for our T&F subscriptions. EBSCO is our subscription
vendor.

By the way, the MetaPress platform still worked during this same period,
but T&F was about to withdraw from MetaPress so we had to figure out a
quick fix. The EJS Basic gateway did the trick! But we are only using
it for our twenty-some Taylor and Francis subscriptions.

I'm still not certain why EJS worked as a gateway and informaworld
didn't, but it did.

My question to the list is, did anyone else have a similar problem and
how did they fix it. With the new year coming up, I am hoping that
Taylor and Francis has worked out all the bugs with the new platform.
Has it?

Any feedback on this would be welcome!
