Re: Daily check ins Anne McCaffrey 04 Oct 2007 18:40 UTC

Lilah,

Here at Dowling College we check in all newspapers regardless of frequency, retention, etc. We seldom have a problem with delivery and if we do, it is usually with a daily. Although this seldom happens, if we call to report missed delivery early in the day, we can still have the paper delivered; if non-delivery is not noticed until later, credit is applied to our next bill.
We also check in all periodicals, microfilm, and other materials. I hope this helps!

All,

Does everyone check in daily newspapers or is it common practice to not
do so? I recall people talking on this list about not checking in any
periodicals at all, but I would rather hear from someone who does check
things in but has made a decision to not check in certain titles due to
the daily chore.

Thanks!

Lilah
