Re: Spanish language popular magazines - suggestions

Hi Eleanor,
We subscribe to National Geographic en espanol, Puerto del Sol, and
Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos. But we do not bind any of our journals.
Puerto del Sol can be pretty slow coming and I have had to claim it and
Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos can be slow coming sometimes also. The
numbering, however, usually is pretty much on target.
Hope this helps.

Dear colleagues,
For many years, we here at App State have subscribed to HOLA for the
purpose of supporting the Spanish languages dept. students so they have
something current and interesting to use for developing their reading
comprehension. The current issues are heavily used but the title is a
pain to maintain and bind for various reasons - the numbering is
screwy,
we have to claim it constantly, etc. I would like to substitute
something else for this journal and was wondering what other Spanish
language popular journals libraries are subscribing to that may serve
the same purpose and perhaps are not as difficult to deal with from the
"back room" perspective.
Thanks much,
Eleanor Cook
