We use Cambio (0211-285x). My faculty will not let me cancel it and
wants any issues I do not keep. It is expensive, but apparently well
loved. We also subscribe to the Puerta del Sol (1041-2026)Spanish
language audio magazine. It is great for news items in Spanish for both
the listening as well as reading experience.

Subject: [SERIALST] Spanish language popular magazines - suggestions
Dear colleagues,
For many years, we here at App State have subscribed to HOLA for the
purpose of supporting the Spanish languages dept. students so they have
something current and interesting to use for developing their reading
comprehension. The current issues are heavily used but the title is a
pain to maintain and bind for various reasons - the numbering is screwy,
we have to claim it constantly, etc. I would like to substitute
something else for this journal and was wondering what other Spanish
language popular journals libraries are subscribing to that may serve
the same purpose and perhaps are not as difficult to deal with from the
"back room" perspective.
Thanks much,
Eleanor Cook
