I'd suggest you offer up the microfiche on the BACKSERV listserv to other libraries who might benefit from it. You also might from some schools or genealogical societies who might be interested in the equipment.

We no longer use microfiche to save our back issued print periodicals
but we are still holding on to the equipment and slides. All of which is
extremely old and no longer needed. We just don't know what to do with
it.
This inquiry is to those of you who have used similar equipment in the
