ALCTS booth volunteers at ALA
Charles McElroy 07 Jun 2007 16:40 UTC
Hi everyone,
I am not on the ALCTS membership committee but I
am helping to coordinate volunteers for our
booth. Please consider taking a shift if your
busy ALA schedule will allow; the volunteer link
is included in the release below. Feel free to
contact me if you have questions. Forgive any
cross-postings as there are sure to be some.
Many thanks!
Charles

Help ALCTS Celebrate 50 YearsBe a Booth Volunteer
The Membership Committee once again seeks
volunteers to staff the ALCTS Exhibit Booth at
the ALA Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. In
addition to serving as a gathering point for
promoting ALCTS membership and activities, the
Booth will also serve as the site for many ALCTS
50th Anniversary events this year. Plans are
underway to feature author book signings, ALCTS
award recipients, and interest and discussion groups, among other themes.
New and long-term members of ALCTS are encouraged
to volunteer for the Booth. Volunteer duties are
to greet existing and potential ALCTS members, to
answer questions about ALCTS, and to enjoy the
festivities at the Booth. The Membership
Committee plans to staff the Booth with two
volunteers at all times that it is open,
especially during this busy and exciting
anniversary year. Please help us meet our goal!
Hours of operation for the Booth will be
Saturday, June 23 through Monday, June 25 from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, June 26 from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. The Booth will be located in the ALA
Pavilion at the Washington Convention Center. To
