CONSER standard record Les Hawkins 05 Jun 2007 13:39 UTC

All, this message is being sent to multiple lists, sorry for the
duplication.

At their annual meeting in early May, CONSER operations representatives
agreed to implement the CONSER standard record guidelines, monitor the
practices through out the coming year, and make any recommendations for
changes or adjustments. We set a target implementation date of June 1,
2007 with the understanding that probably not all institutions will be
able to implement on exactly that date. Representatives will need to
consult locally and do other logistical work before implementing. Some of
the details in the guidelines and related LCRIs were being worked on up to
the last minute last week and the current versions of these documents are
available through the CONSER web site.

If you have any questions about the standard or its implementation, please
let me know.
