HEAD, ELECTRONIC RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT
Permanent, full-time position

The University of Michigan, University Library, seeks a Head of the Electronic Resources Development Section to manage, coordinate and support the cataloging, acquisition, processing, and maintenance of electronic resources.  The successful candidate will:
*	Develop policies and procedures, analyze, and facilitate workflow and communication among the three recently created electronic resource units. Collaborate with staff in Public Services, Collection Development and Scholarly Communication, and Library Information Technology in the management of electronic resources. (35%)
*	Manage and shape discussions about the integration of access to the Library's electronic resources, including the creation of metadata for the Institutional Repository, article level databases, open URL resolver, URL maintenance, and rights management. (35%)
*	Oversee implementation of the electronic resources management system (Verde). Work with the Electronic Resources Officer and electronic resources teams to coordinate the selection and processing of electronic resources and to ensure continued availability of resources. (30%)
