Hiring Range: $30,770 to $38,450
Education: Technical Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or Two (2) years
college course work or equivalent combination of education and
experience. A Bachelor’s Degree desired.
Experience: Four or more years of job related experience. Preferred
related qualifications include prior working experience in library
and/or information technology customer service environment. Computer
skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows and productivity
software, especially word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Experience with an integrated library system, preferably Endeavor
Voyager. Experience with managing electronic resources, especially with
an OpenURL link resolver.
Duties: Responsible for creation and maintenance of electronic journal
records in electronic resource management (ERM) system, order record
creation and maintenance, facilitating electronic invoice processing,
processing title changes, and assisting with SFX maintenance and updates
and metasearch product implementation and maintenance. Activate and
deactivate electronic journal titles in SFX to reflect the library’s
holdings for the public. Create and maintain records for electronic
journals in an electronic resource management system (ERMS); create and
maintain order records for electronic journals; load, process, and
maintain electronic invoices; assist Electronic Resources Coordinator
with processing license agreements for electronic resources, and other
duties, including special projects, as assigned. Independent judgment
and analysis required to correctly identify electronic journal links; to
update records in an electronic resource management system; to enter and
update order records for journals; to initiate and process title
changes; and to set priorities. Work cooperatively and effectively with
other Library staff and serve as a resource for electronic journal and
serial questions, particularly in the absence of the Electronic
Resources Coordinator; effectively communicate with vendors and
publishers; be responsive to instruction, direction and performance
feedback from supervisor. The position requires: Effective oral and
written communication skills; analytical and problem-solving skills;
attention to detail; and demonstrated ability to work well both
independently and in a team environment, as well as the ability to work
with multiple projects and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
