Amen! Wouldn't it be nice if EBSCO was able to just register and activate
all of those e-journals since we have paid for them! I think it all goes
back to the publishers on that front though -- what permissions they give
EBSCO and such.
As far as having both Serials Solutions and ejs, it has been beneficial on
some fronts. The negative is that SS and ejs don't play well together, as
Kelly pointed out. We very actively use SS's ERMS and Article Linker. The
alerts in ERMS will be extremely beneficial as database licenses come up for
renewal at various times during the year. However, at least 3 people at
EBSCO have told me that if we pay for their ERMS/link resolver/AMS package,
all of my problems would be solved...... convenient, eh? It is possible to
set up a trial of the EBSCO suite of ERMS products.
