How would you handle this situation? I have in hand several years of
reports, cataloged as monographs, but I believe they are serials. The
titles are:
Surveys of caribou and muskoxen in the Kuparuk-Colville region, Alaska,
1999, with a summary of caribou calving distribution since 1993.
Surveys of caribou and muskoxen in the Kuparuk-Colville region, Alaska,
2000.
Surveys of caribou and muskoxen in the Kuparuk-Colville region, Alaska,
2001.
Surveys of caribou and muskoxen in the Kuparuk-Colville region, Alaska,
2002.
Then the title changes to:
Mammal surveys in the Greater Kuparuk area, northern Alaska (cataloged
as a serial).
What should be used as the 245 of a serial record for the first title?
My first inclination was to input it as "Surveys of caribou and muskoxen
in the Kuparuk-Colville region, Alaska", and add a note stating that the
volume for 1999 includes "A summary of caribou calving distribution
since 1993". Or should I include that entire title in the 245, and add
a 246 for the title as it appears 2000-2002? I've re-read AACR2 and the
LCRIs, but still am not sure which way in correct.
Thank you!
