Re: Recent evaluations needed: Ebsco's and Serials Solutions' A-Z lists and article linkers

We are a Sirsi customer at Pennsylvania College of Technology. We use
Ebsco EJS and A to Z. I can update our customized print titles and they
show up almost right away in our catalog. When we had Serials Solutions
it would take constant calling and emailing to get anything done. I had
to send SS our total print list and it was about two weeks before it was
done. When we decided to go with Ebsco A to Z it was for that reason.
With Ebsco I uploaded the list and it was done that day. Also their
customer service beats Serials Solutions hands down. We have just
recently purchased LinkSource and WebFeat through Ebsco. Not to mention
the discounts Ebsco offers.
Thanks,
Beth

Subject: [SERIALST] Recent evaluations needed: Ebsco's and Serials
Solutions' A-Z lists and article linkers
I am looking for recent information comparing these vendors' products,
why one was chosen over the other, and how they have performed once
selected.
Any information would be appreciated: articles, informal discussions, or
just some personal feedback from list members.
I have some good articles about these and other similar products, but
nothing more current than 2004 (for example, excellent articles by
Virginia Lingle describing implementation of the Ebsco products and by
John McDonald describing link resolvers).
Would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of finding
more recent information, because these products have undergone many
changes in the past couple of years.
Thanks very much for any help.
