My library went cold turkey and stopped subscriptions to all microfilm,
as well as the print indexes to NYT and WSJ. This made all of the
librarians nervous, but patrons haven't complained yet. I suspect
ProQuest sold off their microfilm division after careful study of future
prospects for the format.

It's important to note that we are a Master's level college, with no
doctoral programs, so our commitment to long-term access to materials is
different from the mission of a research university.
