In this case I meant leisure reading to mean primarily news magazines, like Time, The Economist, MacLean's, and the like.  Research journals, as you describe them, we primarily collect only in electronic format. Professional practice periodicals we often retain the print of for the same reason we have of our news magazines but we keep those in the library and do not distribute them to the coffee shop as we have been doing with the news magazines.
