***I'm with you.  Incomplete tells me there is something missing.  I
would not expect to find all of issues 90-96 in a volume labelled
incomplete.

***This way, anything that is published on an academic year basis would
necessarily be incomplete, either chronologically or numerically.

Hi all,

We use summary level info (volume and year) on our bound periodicals,
and we add INC or INCOMPLETE to indicate we are missing content in the
bound volume (typically an issue or issues).  Pretty much standard
practice when binding periodicals.
