Interesting results you have received. As a public library system, the copy
machines in our libraries are not owned by the library system, but are
contracted out. Because of our unique situation (51 branches on 6 islands),
only one company put in a bid on the contract. They started with a fee of
$0.15 per copy, and we shortly thereafter raised the prices on our microfilm
copies to $0.15 per copy for consistency. Just recently the company raised
its rates to $0.20 per copy. We have not raised the prices on our microfilm
copies. Even though our newest machine costs us $0.25 per copy for toner
and paper.

Subject: [SERIALST] how much do you charge for copies????
I am doing a very informal survey on copy price. Here at Midwestern State
Univ. we charge 10 cents for copies. We charge the same for microfiche or
paper copies. I am wondering how much copies are at other libraries.
Thanks
