Mapping License Language for Electronic Resource Management
ALA Annual Conference
New Orleans, Louisiana
Thursday, June 22, 2006
1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
https://db.arl.org/mapping/

Building on the successful ARL/Digital Library Federation (DLF)
preconference workshop at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual
Conference in June 2005, this workshop will take an in-depth look at the DLF
Electronic Resource Management Initiative data elements, especially the
subset for terms of use (course packs, etc.). The workshop will explore
issues and provide participants hands-on practice for analyzing licenses and
summarizing key points for their electronic resource management (ERM)
systems.

Target Audience
Librarians, publishers, vendors with substantial experience in license
issues. This workshop will be most useful for librarians whose libraries
have ERM systems.
