ELECTRONIC RESOURCES LIBRARIAN (fixed-term position), Minnesota State
University, Mankato.

RESPONSIBILITIES:   Coordinates and provides assistance with the
acquisition, implementation and maintenance of the library's electronic
resources.  Assists with providing access to all types of electronic
resources; and licensing and consortial agreements.  Works with vendors
to resolve access problems and coordinate vendor visits. Collects usage
data. Provides internal training and information about electronic
resources. This position includes reference responsibilities.  Serves on
a team as a subject liaison to one or more disciplines/programs, with
responsibility for collection development and course-specific library
instruction sessions.  Reference and instruction responsibilities will
include evening and weekend hours.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: MLS from ALA-accredited program. Demonstrated
knowledge of electronic resources.  Experience or course-work in
providing reference services.  Demonstrated flexibility in dealing with
people, technology, and multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to
work with a diverse population.  Excellent oral and written
communication skills, as well as a strong customer-service orientation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:   The ideal candidate has credentials or
experience with one or more of the following: collection development; an
E-Resource Management System, such as SerialsSolutions.  Experience with
Reference and Instruction.

SALARY RANGE: $38,803 - $45,799 for a 9-month academic year, depending
on qualifications.  Additional compensation for summer term may be
available.
