The OCLC merger was no freak accident.  Since 2003, CONSER practice has
been to create aggregator-neutral records that focus on the content of
the title and not the details of any particular aggregator.  There are
some records that have not been collapsed together yet (particularly
with MedLine and ERIC), but the conversion process is still in process
as a mix of automated and manual work is involved.
