Extended Collections Services Librarian

Northern Kentucky University

Steely Library seeks a knowledgeable, energetic, technological savvy and
service-oriented professional for the tenure track twelve month position
of Extended Collections Services librarian.  Steely Library is striving
toward boundary-free access to information.  This individual is a key
player in providing access to an ever increasing portion of the universe
of information resources through advanced technologies without concern
for format or ownership.

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, manages
and initiates strategic decisions in the areas of copyright compliance,
document delivery, educational outreach, electronic reserves, and
interlibrary loan.  Plays a vital role in planning new initiatives and
policy development in the area of information content and access.  Works
closely with library colleagues and with academic faculty to address
issues of intellectual property.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's Degree from an
ALA-accredited institution as well as three years of academic library
experience.  Individuals must be able to work as part of a team in a
fast-paced environment.  Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal
skills with a strong customer service orientation are needed.
Professional achievement, scholarly/creative activity, and professional
service are required for reappointment and tenure.

Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience plus a
comprehensive benefits package.  Benefits include 26 vacation days, and
