Hi, everyone. I have a roll of New York Times microfilm from 1967 which
is torn in a jagged manner. I discovered it when someone was having
trouble feeding in another roll of microfilm and getting an error
message. Part of the roll of the New York Times film was still in the
microfilm reader. I don't understand how film could actually tear,
because I thought it was tougher than that. Obviously, I can't repair
it with tape, because of the acid in tape. Is there any repair material
which is appropriate for use on microfilm? I checked Gaylord, but was
unable to find anything.
Thank you.
