We are trying to set up prediction patterns in Aleph (version 16.02) after
our migration from MultiLIS.
We are having difficulties with prediction patterns for  multilevel
/multipart periodicals for example the Irish Reports which change their
pattern quite frequently but currently come out in the following way:

Year -- (c,)
Vol. -- (r,4)
Pt. -- (r,2)

The date of actual publication may be during the current year for the
earlier volumes and parts and the following year for the later ones but
these dates vary from year to year.

Does anyone have a "manual" on how to create prediction patterns for more
complex titles to ensure that all staff members create patterns consistently
using the same logic for all types of publication with  similar  publication
stuctures?
