Leaving Librarianship survey respondent request

{our apologies for any cross posting of this request}
Hello,
The need for effective recruitment and retention in the library profession
is a well established fact and an often discussed concern in library
literature. However, a large majority of the research on this topic focuses
on recruitment while retention falls by the wayside. In an effort to better
understand the factors that contribute to the decision of library
professionals to leave the library world, we are seeking respondents a brief
survey. If you hold a library science degree and previously worked as an
academic librarian, but are no longer working in the library profession,
please e-mail us by January 1, 2006 so that we can send you the survey for
completion. You can contact Jeff Luzius (jluzius@gadsdenstate.edu) or
Allyson Ard (ally_ard@hotmail.com). If you know someone else who meets
these criteria, please forward this request to them. All responses will
remain anonymous and will only be used for academic purposes. The final
results of the surveys will be sent to participants once the research is
completed.
Thank you for your participation,
