Hi, Folks --
In the course of answering my question about Journal of Memory and
Language, Teresa at Elsevier told me something worth passing on. She
said that each Elsevier journal is consistent as to volume and issue
numbering, but months may vary from volume to volume.
Case in point is Journal of Memory and Language. She assures me that
next year, like this year and several years back, there will be eight
issues in two four-issue volumes. The months in previous years - and in
the masthead - are Jan, Feb, Apr, May, Jul, Aug, Oct, and Nov. For v.
53, though, the months are Jul, Aug, Sep, and Oct of 2005. I'm going to
stick to the stated pattern, and edit strange issues as they come in.
Are we having fun yet?
