bindery prep software Ripley, Erika 27 Oct 2005 17:36 UTC

All,
Our binding has always been sent out to a commercial bindery. Our
bindery has been purchased by another company, and we have new choices
in bindery software. The new company offers a choice of LARS Library
(version 6) from Arden Lake Technology or ABLE Library (version 6.6)
from ABLE Ventures. Either software product would be new to us, and
we're working through the selection process. I searched the archives,
but didn't see any discussion of either product in several years.

If you have experience with either product, I'd like to hear your
thoughts on it. Do staff find it easy to use? Is it flexible? What
features do you like most? What features were the most frustrating? Do
software upgrades go smoothly? Please call or email me directly.

thank you, Erika
