The 81st annual Potomac Technical Processing Librarians Conference will be
held Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Conference Center West, Miller Senate
Office Building, Annapolis, MD. This year's topic centers on the future
of libraries and librarianship and promises to be quite lively.
Speakers for the event are:
Barbara Tillett, LC, "The Future of Cataloging Codes and Systems: IME, ICC,
RDA, and FRBR"; Judy Mansfield, LC, "The Future of Cataloging: A
Manager's Perspective"; Andrew Pace, North Carolina State University,
"The Dis-Integrated Library System of the Future"; and a special
introduction by Senator Mike Miller, Senate President, Maryland General Assembly.
