Re: open url problem Yoon, Sunny 14 Sep 2005 17:30 UTC

Hi there,

Within Serials Solutions, you should be able to navigate to the title
list when you select the database, and then there should be a separate
tab for customizing dates for individual titles.

However, if you are dealing with databases which you can only turn on
and off, you have to ask SS to change their title lists. I submit
discrepancies to the customer service e-mail and get responses in a
couple of weeks.

Good luck,
Sunny

Subject: [SERIALST] open url problem

Hi, everybody. We use Serials Solutions as our open url resolver and
are very happy with it for the most part. For some of the full text
sources, like Gale databases and Highwire Press, we supposedly have
access "to present." In reality, it is more like to 1 year ago or so
for some titles. However, the public display note reads something
"01/01/1981 to present in Highwire Press." So when the patron clicks on

that, he finds out it is not really "to present." How do you deal with
this on the public displays in your open url resolver and your a to z
list?

Thanks in advance.
