Boise State University seeks nominations and applications for a
Dean of University Libraries. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean
will join a vibrant faculty and administrative team that are
actively positioning the university for greater national prominence
as a metropolitan research university of distinction. With an
enrollment of approximately 19,000 students and a wide range of
academic programs through the doctoral level, the university is
the largest in the State of Idaho and consists of 8 colleges and
1,700 faculty and staff. The Albertsons Library currently has a
full-time staff of over 60 including 16 librarians with faculty
status and has a budget of over $6 million and an endowment of
$3.5 million.
Required Qualifications
MLS from an ALA accredited program.
Administrative experience in an academic or research library.
Distinguished record of academic or professional achievement that warrants
tenure in the library.
Experience with personnel management.
Preferred Qualifications
An earned doctorate or a second master's degree.
Resource management, including managing large budgets.
Experience developing new revenues.

applications will begin on Sept. 16 and continue until the position is filled.
Starting date is negotiable.
