APA Announces Librarian's Resource Center
Dear Colleagues:
The American Psychological Association is pleased to introduce the new Librarian's Resource Center
(www.apa.org/librarians). This new home page provides a "one-stop shop" for librarians who administer and
use APA resources from initial evaluation of products, and management of database licensing, to product
training and the distribution of educational resources. Selected resources that are now available on the site include:
* Institutional pricing for electronic and print products
* APA's licensing terms and conditions
* Policies such as archiving and Interlibrary Loan
* Basic fact sheets on the content and file structure of each APA database
* Brief product descriptions that can be used for the OPAC
* Information on MARC records to support cataloging of full-text documents available in PsycBOOKS
* Forms for obtaining permissions
* Downloadable tools such as the new Application Guides
* Coming soon: New training schedule!
If you need more information on the Librarian's Resource Center or would like to email APA with a suggestion, please contact me at shillson@apa.org.
Cordially,
Susan Hillson
