This is a classic vanity publishing thing. I first got one of these
solicitations when I was in library school, almost forty years ago.
I've received several since then. For most of them if you don't agree
to buy some of their stuff, such as the book for a hundred bucks or
whatever, you don't get into it. Basically, it is a directory of
people who sent them money. Some might even call it a "sucker list".
