Subject: [SERIALST] comparison studies between Proquest and Gale databases
Does anyone know of up to date studies or articles comparing Proquest to
Gale Expanded Academic database, or has anyone done this comparison before
deciding to buy. Im trying to gage whether its worth while investing in Gale
if we already have Proquest. Is there alot of overlapping?
We are a small teachers college (2000 students 400 teachers) with an ever
dwindling budget. Ive been instructed to cancel two thirds of our journal
collection - which Im only willing to do if we acquire another database.I
am familiar with the Ebsco Academic database but it costs more than twice
the price.
Thanks for any input.
