Good afternoon, FYI
Journal of Food Science - page numbering 2004 - thought some others might
be interested in case you hadn't noticed the following.
We were preparing the vol. 69, 2004 issue for bindery and noticed some
interesting page numbering.
Beginning in 2004 each issue contains separate numbering for 5 unique
subject categories - These pages are R, C, E, M, and S and the page
numbering for each sections cumulates from the previous issue.
If that isn't interesting enough, for the first four issues these sections
used the prefixes CRH, FCT, FEP, FMS, SNQ. In issue 4 (June/July) they
explain why they couldn't continue with this paging and thus these
sections became R,C,E,M, and S. They issued new content pages in the back
of issue 5 for issues 1 to 4 and for example CRH113-CRH138 NOW BECAME
R113-R138.
The annual indexes don't give issue numbers only pages prefixed by R,C,E,M
or S even though the first four issues don't use these prefixes. - try to
explain this on the spine of the bound volume !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a good weekend
