SCCTP Workshop in Hawaii

This is a friendly reminder of the SCCTP Integrating Resources Cataloging workshop in Hawaii. A two-day hands-on training session is being co-sponsored by NASIG and OCLC Western. This workshop covers the revised chapters 9 and 12 of AACR2 and other related chapters pertaining to cataloging integrating resources. Also, the new and revised rules now found in these chapters will be discussed in the class to provide timely guidance to monograph, serials and electronic resource cataloging. The afternoon of the second day is devoted to problem solving, questions, and further discussion of specific issues. At the end of this workshop you will be able to:
Determine what an integrating resources is according to the revised chapters of AACR2
Differentiate integrating resources from monographs and serials
Understand more difficult aspects of cataloging electronic integrating resources and loose-leaf services materials
Make changes to the record of updating web sites, databases, and loose-leafs
Understand resource selection and options for access
